Bob Smith

Youth Recruiter

Bob’s love for Lacrosse started at South High in the Denver Public School system.  He played on the University of Utah Lacrosse Club in Salt Lake City for 7 years.  His love for youth coaching started back in Denver for the Arapahoe High School.  His love of officiating began when he moved to the Bay Area where he became a USILA official at the NCCA College level and achieved the pinnacle at the District 11 final game as game referee.
Bob’s adventure for starting club lacrosse teams began in Bellingham Washington.  Along with his son, a HS freshman, they introduced lacrosse to high schools in the area and began the first youth team in Whatcom County in 2004. That HS program was the catalyst for drawing more coaches and supporters which turned into several feeder programs including 1st through 8th grades.

Bob believes Lacrosse is the perfect sport to bring kids out of the video den, off their phones, and out in the world learning community, common goals, and the nobility of sportsmanship. Great for parents too when they volunteer.
